Bob Jones High School Takes Top Honors in Iron Chef-like Challenge

The Bob Jones High School Culinary Arts Team took top honors at the first round of Teen Cuisine. There were 8 schools to compete. Four schools in the morning and four in the afternoon. Auburn HS won the morning round and BJHS took the afternoon round. You can see the Teen Cuisine Challenge on UPN on June 3rd (check TV Guide for time). The team was made up of three seniors and one junior: Andrew Cowles, Amy Underwood, Jessica Henry and Brendhan Burleson. Recipes and Photos of the finished products are on the following pages.

This was a very hard competition. It was like IRON CHEF with secret ingredients and students having to make up their own recipes. Cheft Judy comments: "When we arrived one of the chefs said we have been waiting on the great Bob Jones Squad (talk about pressure). That same chef told us after the competition he knew why we were talked about so much now. The Chef judges only gave wonderful comments to our students."
