Hunting for Eggs in Huntsville

There's a lot of places to go to hunt for Easter eggs in the Huntsville area. Here's just a few for you and your child to check out:

Huntsville Botanical Garden
March 22: Bunny Bonanza
There's a whopping 7000 eggs hidden in the lawns and they need you to come help find them. Steve Metz from Metropolitan DJ will host the festivities and get the party grooving. Lemonade and cookies will be provided for the little ones. This year look for giant "dino eggs" hidden in the Garden.
Admission: $5 per child, no charge for member parents. Non-member adult guests pay regular admission.
Egg Hunt Schedule: [ul}

  • 2 years old and younger, 10:15 a.m.
  • 3 to 6 year olds, 10:45 a.m.

    Faith Presbyterian Church
    When: April 7 Easter Egg Hunt & Picnic 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM
    Who: Children through Fifth Grade. Each family should bring a picnic lunch (drinks and dessert provided), a picnic blanket, and empty Easter baskets to be filled. We will celebrate the message of Easter with a story, singing, crafts, and a picnic lunch followed by the eagerly anticipated Easter Egg Hunt.

    Monte Sano Methodist Church Easter Egg Hunt
    When: March 22 at 2 pm.

    Burritt on the Mountain Easter Egg Hunt
    When: March 22 from 10:30 am-12:00 pm.
    Join the Easter Bunny and all of the Barnyard Buddies in the Easter Parade just after you hunt for eggs in the green at Burritt. Bring your most favorite of Easter bonnets for the Easter Bonnet competition!

    Community Easter Egg Hunt in Decatur
    Bring your basket and hunt for candy eggs on the square. Easter Bunny arrives at 10:30 a.m. and the hunt begins promptly at 11. Ages 0-5th grade. Free. Sponsored by Decatur Business Association.
    When: Saturday, March 31, 2007, 11 am.

    WEUP Easter Egg Hunt
    Saturday, March 8th, The Easter Bunny is coming back to W-E-U-P. It’s the WEUP Easter Egg Hunt! And we are inviting all the kids in Tennessee Valley to Hop down to WEUP for the Hunt. There will be three age groups: 0 to 3, 4 to 7, and 8 to 12… Gold, silver, and bronze prizes will be awarded in each age group.
    The Easter Bunny will be here so if you want pictures, please bring your cameras... Parents bring your kids to WEUP on Saturday, March 8th, the hunt begins at 11 am sharp. Get here on time! Cause once the last egg is picked up, the hunt is over. Sponsored by Regions Bank
