2004 Voter Information for Alabama

The 2004 elections are more important than maybe any election year. Make sure that your voice is heard when the polls open. Be informed. Get registered to vote. Then make sure that you go out to vote at every election to have your opinion registered. Whether you chose to support candidates with your time, money, yard signs or bumper stickers, make sure you get out there and vote. Below you will find city, county, state and national information and links to make your decision and support easier.

Polls are Open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. the day of the election.

Local Elections for 2004
This may be the closest mayoral race that Huntsville has ever had. Since the mayoral election is the only race on the ballot for all but two precincts, the candidate that can get their supporters out to vote will probably be the one that wins. Please remember that every vote counts and be sure and vote on August 24th.

Madison County Democratic Party
Madison County Democratic Groups include: Women's Division, UAH College Democrats, a few Democratic & Kerry Meet-up Groups and the Rocket City Democrats. For more information on what's going on locally with the Democratic Party go to www.thatspolitics.com. Democratic Talk Radio every Sunday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on FM 105.5.
Madison County Democratic Women
Regular meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month. The social time will begin at 11:30 and the program will begin at 12:00. For more information, call Susan C. Brown at 534-1700 or susancbrown@comcast.net.

Madison County Republican Party
Madison County Republican Headquarters is open in the Parkway Place Mall at 2801 Memorial Parkway South in Huntsville.
Madison County, Alabama Republican candidates running for election in 2004 are Brian Clark for District Attorney; incumbent Commissioners Faye Dyer, Dale Strong, and Mo Brooks without Democrat opposition; Dennis Green against Democrat Commissioner Prince Preyer or challenger Bob Harrison; and two Madison County school board members Shawn Fargerson (opposed by a Democrat in November) and Jeff Anderson, without opposition.

Republican Clubs in Madison County

Republican Women in Madison County, Alabama meet as follows: Republican Women of Huntsvilleon the 1st Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Clock Tower Restaurant on S. Memorial Parkway in Huntsville; Twickenham Republican Womenon the 3rd Tuesday at 12:00 noon at the Huntsville Hilton in Huntsville, and Greater Madison Republican Womenon the 3rd Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at the Radisson Inn on Madison Boulevard in Madison. The social time begins 30 minutes prior to each of the above start times. The Madison County Republican Men's Clubmeets on the 3rd Saturday of each month. The social is at 7:00 AM and breakfast is at 8:00 AM at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, 2500 10th Street. Call Elbert Peters at 859-3186 or jepeters65@knology.net for more information.
