Michael & Nancy Ridner - 437 Ripple Lane - Hampton Cove

(photo not available) Horses graze peacefully, tails swishing, black fences follow the slope of the land, a large pond glistens in the sunlight, and a magnificent home sits in the distance, flanked by substantial barns. You are certainly not mistaken for thinking that his lovely pastoral scene is reminiscent of Kentucky horse country. Nancy's passion is horses and if you're a horse lover too, you'll get a big kick out of her barns!

The gardens surrounding the house mirror it's formal appearance with green on green tones and a tall, arching allee of Natchez crape myrtles under planted with Annabelle hydrangeas, ornamental grasses and Otto Luykens larel shrubs. Substantial boxwoods provide the foundation for the formal garden where the structural centerpiece is a large arbor covered in Akebia vine. Quadrants of the formal garden are filled with lavender, lambs ears, and splashes of color from annuals.

The structures may be formal, but this is very much a cherished home.
