The main feature of the cooking area is the corbeled mantel that arches over the five burner gas stove. The highlight is the tile back which repeats this arch, with a lattice pattern of vines and leaves. Tiles of grape clusters anchor the design.
The opposite wall reflects the arch theme in the bar area. The tile plaque above the bar sink repeats the arch as well as the strawberry and grape motif. The tiles are handmade in Oregon by Pratt and Lawson, and have a custom watercolor glaze.
A unique feature within the cabinetry is a pair of eight foot tall display cabinets, which contain family collectibles. The kitchen is as functional as it is beautiful.
