First United Methodist Church Luminary Night Celebration

First United Methodist Church on corner of Green & Randolph Streets

Come to the corner of Green & Randolph Streets for the celebration of Christmas at First United Methodist Church from 4-6:00 pm on Saturday. Free to the public.

As you arrive, you will be welcomed by Holiday Greeters among the luminaries surrounding the church. The Sanctuary, which was built in 1867, and across the street, the Wesley Center, will both be decorated with candlelight and decorations of the season. The magnificent organ in the Main Sanctuary will put you into the Christmas Spirit with music as you view the beautiful architecture.

In the New Song Sanctuary, located in the Wesley Center, enjoy the music of the season with their First Family Singers, the Handbell ringers and the Heavenly Honkers, their bass band.

You are invited to have refreshments, view the presentation of the church's history, meet host ministers and learn about the antique architecture inside and out, which makes First United Methodist Chruch an historic treaure. For more information, call the church office at (256) 536-5738.
