The Women’s Guild of the Huntsville Museum of Art and the Alabama Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) are joining together to present the Harris Hill Farm as the 2005 Designer Showhouse.

Located at 1532 Highway 72 East in Huntsville, the home is owned by Ashley and Cole Walker. The residence will be open to the public Saturday, September 10 through Sunday, September 25 during the hours of 10 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm Saturday, and 12 noon to 4 pm Sunday. Special Twilight hours will be held on Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm.

General admission charge is $15 per person. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Huntsville Museum of Art, Lawrens, Loring Jewelers, or Details.

Picturesque Harris Hill Farm is nestled high above the growing city of Huntsville and overlooks northeast Madison County. The land was originally granted to Francis E. Harris in 1809. Since that time, there have been three family structures on Harris Hill Farm. Initially, there was a log cabin in what is now the front field. The second structure was a brick home with a wrap around porch that was built in the mid-1800’s by the Harris family.
