01/26/05 Theatre Review: "Thoroughly Modern Millie"
How refreshing to see a show with NO bad language, but with gorgeous costumes and fabulous dance numbers! I found The Broadway Theatre League's "Thoroughly Modern Millie" totally charming and thoroughly enjoyable.

01/25/05 My Footnotes on Community Ballet
I have to start off by admitting that I know next to nothing about ballet. However, it was with a sense of curiosity and anticipation that my good friend Nancy and I set out to see the Huntsville Community Ballet Company host the North Carolina Dance Theatre.

01/22/05 Book Review: The Keeper's Son
Since I spend most of my time online, I rarely have time to relax with a good book. It was a special treat for me to chisel out a block of time to dig into Homer Hickam's "The Keeper's Son," an intriguing book based on a true, but little-known story about World War II.

01/18/05 Theatre Review: "Fuddy Meers"
Theatre Huntsville's "Fuddy Meers" is one of the funniest shows I've ever seen. you're offended by strong language, don't you go, either--but otherwise, this is a wild and wacky show!

01/15/05 Unclaimed Baggage Center #2--Boaz
One of my favorite places to go shopping for treasure is the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro. In fact, when I have out-of-town guests, I almost always end up taking them to Scottsboro and let them loose to explore to their hearts' content. Recently, I set out in a different direction to see for myself the second store that Unclaimed Baggage opened in Boaz, Alabama in October, 2004

01/12/05 "Cirque Dreams" Review
Well, "Cirque Dreams" finally came to Huntsville...and I might add, has me going in "circles." Just a few minutes into the show and my head was spinning. This was truly your geometry & science classes come to life--with jugglers handling squares, triangles and those multiple-sided boxes.
