Christmas on Ice
This was the 15th year for an Annual Skating Christmas Show by the Huntsville Skating School & Training Academy. 2006 saw 77 skaters zig-zagging and twirling around the ice rink as 65 musicians from the Huntsville Youth Orchestra accompanied them

Toyland: Southerland Station
If Huntsville has an Old-Fashioned "Toyland," it would probably be Southerland Station. Dick Metzger is the owner of this toy and hobby shop that makes the dreams of little boys and girls (and big ones, too!) come true.

Huntsville Aglow with Candles
One of the most beautiful nights in Huntsville occurs on the second Saturday in December when the Twickenham and Old Town Historic Districts are aglow with over thousands of luminaries for their annual 'Host of Christmas Past' Homes Tour and other special events that night.

Candlelight Christmas: An Old-Fashioned Christmas at Burritt
Candlelight Christmas is a special time of year at Burritt on the Mountain. The Mansion and Historic Park are decorated like an old-fashioned Christmas from the 1800's. Hundreds of candles light the pathways throughout the park.

Christmas Festival Features Trees, Quilts, Nativities, Music
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Sparkman Drive in Huntsville annually features a Christmas Festival featuring Creche Exhibit, Indoor Live Nativity, handmade Christmas quilts, Christmas trees, "The Nativity" video & seek & find activity for the children.

Christmas With the Big Guys: A Tuba Christmas
Each year, Tuba Christmas performs at the Huntsville Museum of Art. More than 40 tuba, sousaphone, baritone & euphonium players perform traditional Christmas carols & songs of the season as a free public concert.

Critter Christmas Tree
It's bad enough to be sick and hospitalized for any child...it almost should be a crime to be in the hospital during the Christmas season! Each year, Bishops Flowers in Huntsville collects stuffed animals and decorates a Christmas tree with them for the pediatric floor at Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children

Robert P. Falls, Sr. has published a beautiful picture book of "Alabama Impressions." Falls, a Guntersville resident, is a profession wildlife, nature and travel photographer and this book is proof that he knows how to capture the mood and emotion of a photo.
11/19/06 The Donnell House at Christmas
The Donnell House, located on the Athens Middle School campus, was built in 1845 by a 61-year-old Cumberland Presbyterian minister, Robert Donnell. Each year people from the surrounding areas, Huntsville, Decatur, and Athens, decorate the house for Christmas.
