10/02/06 Buckhorn Tavern Skirmish
September 29-October 1, 2006 was the first time in ten years that the Buckhorn Tavern Skirmish was Reenacted in a Civil War Living History Weekend at Sharon Johnson Park in New Market, Alabama. This was my first adventure seeing a reenactment of a Civil War battle.

09/26/06 Cotton Pickin' Pumpkins at Tate Farms
What a gorgeous day I picked recently to revisit Tate Farms and see all the new activities and buildings they have added for their Pumpkin season. The petting zoo is fabulous with little miniature horses, bunnies and goats. The new barn is ideal for parties and meetings and the new 3-acre cornfield maze gives you variety and a choice from the bale hay maze.

09/15/06 How to Reduce Vet Costs of Spay/Neutering Pets
We all love our pets, but vet bills can be overwhelming. I hope everyone is helping with the overpopulation of animals by having all their dogs and cats spay and neutered. There is a Huntsville group called the SNAP (Spay Neuter Action Project) group. They have two qualifying programs for reduced the cost of spay/neutering. Use these new certificates to help keep animal overpopulation under control.

We have multi-screen cinemas showing movies seven days a week.
