There's been a lot of new coverage about Hurricane Katrina. You might be confused now about what's what and how you can help. Here are some of the articles and resources I've found to help Huntsville residents know what they can do to help. I'll be updating this list as relief efforts continue.

A Note From GHHS on Animal Rescue Needs
If you want to help out with the local efforts to rescue animals caught in the devastation in Louisana & Mississippi, check this list of supplies needed.

Tennessee Valley Hurricane Relief
Local churches and charity organizations are using this site to coordinate all efforts in the Tennessee Valley. Victims can go there and see what organizations are offering and request help through that website.

Car Donations Needed for Katrina Survivor

A Petition to Protect the Animal Victims of Hurricane Katrina
If you are concerned about the animals, you might consider signing this petition to insure that all animals are included in the evacuations occuring as a result of the Emergency Order issued on Tuesday, September 6, in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and that those animals are provided adequate supplies and shelter until they are reunited with their owners or adopted.
