The Bed & Breakfast features two bedrooms, each with a private bath, a spacious sunroom, a wraparound porch, a deck and a beautiful garden for guests to enjoy. Keith does a lot of the breakfast cooking and shared his Brunch Egg Bake Casserole recipe with me. He and Beverly make a good team and share the chores and work together well.
The Moumblows, retired from the north, fell in love with North Alabama on a trip through the state and decided this was the perfect spot for their new business. They go out of their way to add extra touches to make your stay at Brigadoon a memorable one. They have tea at 4 p.m. every day and Beverly says they always have a homemade dessert in the evening.
Brigadoon Bed & Breakfast gets a lot of guests who are celebrating their wedding, anniversary, girlfriend reunion or other special occasion. They have a special romantic anniversary package that includes flowers, candles and champagne. They may also include a box of candy, a flower on the pillow and a framed photo to mark the occasion.
Weddings and group meetings of up to 48 people are welcome at Brigadoon. They will cater a tea party upon request. The Moumblows say that Brigadoon would be the perfect place for a company to retreat to for a strategy session because of the many different places within the house that people could scatter for brainstorming.
Brigadoon Bed & Breakfast is open year round, including holidays--even Christmas. They are located on Alabama Highway 79 North near mile marker 106 (third driveway on the right). They are nine miles from the Walls of Jericho hiking trail, 30 minutes from Cathedral Caverns and close to Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro.
If you're ready to get away from it all and find a little retreat from life's stresses, you can call Brigadoon Bed & Breakfast at (256) 587-6824 or email brigadoon@brigadoonbandb.com. If you'd like a virtual tour, here's my photos of Brigadoon.
