NOTE : Guests who wish to visit The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt during the Frist Fridays scheduled from June through September must reserve advance tickets in order to enter the exhibition. Quest tickets are issued for a specific date and time at a cost of $10 for members and $17 for non-members. Children 18 and under will be admitted free, but must have reserved tickets to enter the exhibition. Tickets for Quest include access to Frist Fridays activities. Jim Hoobler, Curator of Art and Architecture at the Tennessee State Museum, will lead a guided tour of the Egyptian Revival-style architecture featured in the Downtown Presbyterian Church.
Take a late-night, docent-guided flashlight tour through The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt exhibition. Following the tour, patrons will meet at the Turner Courtyard tent to view the 1932 original movie, The Mummy, with Boris Karloff. Karloff stars as the condemned and mummified Egyptian prince Im-Ho-Tep accidentally brought back to life. Stunning cinematography and gripping performances make this film a classic. Free popcorn and a cash bar will be available.
