African American Art Featured at Huntsville Museum

"That was in the beginning," says Evans. "...I almost never saw any art by African Americans. If there was any, they didn't have any black figures in the paintings." Eventually Walter Evans changed his criteria. "I have evolved from the period where I had to see a black image in the work. I was being very narrow-minded."
