Tips for Week of March 31, 2005
THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK:
- Pauli's Gourmet Food & Wine Company at 7143-D Highway 72 West holds a free wine tasting every Saturday, rain or shine, from 3-5 p.m.
- Brooks & Collierat 813 Meridian Street is under new ownership and has a new name: Summer Classics at Brooks & Collier. They carry fine quality garden furniture and fireside products that are also sold at Crate & Barrel, Smith & Hawken, Frontgate, Neiman Marcus and Horchow.
- Make plans now to go to 801 Franklin on Thursday, April 7 for "Anne's Girl's Night Out: Purse Night" with Happy Hour prices for ladies all night long. Show them your Fun Bags. A prize for the best purse.
- The Flying Monkey Arts Center is a smoke free environment.
- A volunteer is needed to do face painting on children planets with rings, stars, anything astronomy related, etc. during Astronomy Day in Monte Sano State Park on April 16th. If you would like to help, contact brendarogers@softhome.net .
- Stop by The Book Gallery in Parkway Place Mall on the second floor next to Parisian anytime during the month of April. You will receive The Book Gallery's incredible discounts of 50-90% off publisher prices, with 10% of each participating sale going to A New Leash on Life, a non-profit animal rescue organization. Just mention the fundraiser to the sales staff to get the discount.
