- This Friday & Saturday, Hurricane Katrina Evacuees recieve Free Admission to for an adorable one-hour children's show, "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day" presented by Independent Musical Productions. - Chuck Williams founded Williams-Sonoma nearly a half century ago. Help celebrate Chuck's 90th birthday during a special Founder's Day weekend, October 1-2. The festivities include a full schedule of tastings and demonstrations of his favorite recipes and tools. They will also be serving Carrot Birthday Cake in Chuck's honor.
- Baskin-Robbins is offering a 4 oz. ice cream cone for $1 on Tuesdays from 6 to 10 pm. Since 1945, Baskin Robbins has invented over 1,000 flavors of ice cream. Go to their website and vote for your favorite and enter their sweepstakes for the ultimate birthday present.

- My pet peeves: why do they have to cold caplets wrapped in foil & plastic and childproof caps on medicine bottles...especially when you're really sick and don't feel like struggling with them? (don't write...I know the reasons why...I'm just frustrated).
