In honor of the occasion, the Saturn V was aglow with pink lights for three nights, pink footlights lined the path leading along the sidewalk, and a violin-cello duet greeted guests. The gala featured a silent auction, door prizes, hair and make-up tips, fashion forecasts from the Artisan Salonspa, a Feng Shui workshop, hors doeuvres and wine, and a fashion show featuring local breast cancer survivors modeling the fashions of Doncaster. This was the first style show I had seen where the emphasize was on the women modeling and their stories more than the clothes. Everyone cheered, applauded and showed support to the women who were breast cancer survivors.
Liz Hurley was in attendance, made introductions, greeted women and signed autographs. There were displays and samples from vendors, with everything from chocolates to makeup, making it hard to decide where to go first.
It was a wonderfully organized and beautiful event with everything wrapped in pink, lots of ladies and a few men and all for a worthy cause--Breast Cancer Research. Check out my photos and see what you missed if you weren't there!
