Hispanic Festival Celebrates Hispanic Heritage
I checked out the Hispanic Festival in Huntsville this year and was amazed at what I saw. The Huntsville Depot Roundhouse and grounds was filled with colorful flags, Latin music, dancing and food.

Alabama Black History
Alabama is rich with Black History and the contributions that African Americans have made to our state and our country. Since 1976, Black History Month has been observed in the month of February in the United States. Other countries around the world, including Canada and the United Kingdom, also devote a month to celebrating black history.
Huntsville's Past
Tom Carney and his wife Cathie Carney started "Old Huntsville Magazine" in 1989. Tom died June 16, 2011, but his legacy lives on. We'll be reprinting some of his stories about the old Huntsville he discovered from his interviews and conversations with some of the older residents of our town.
