Glory Needs a Special Home

Friends of Ferals Has Cats Seeking Adoption

By Jean Brandau, About.com

Glory is a cat up for Adoption
Glory: Our Adopt-A-Cat Of the Week:

Black domestic shorthair cat Glory is about five or six years old. She is a very loving, sweet cat who purrs loud and long. She loves to sit on your lap. She is not overly active, as far as being real playful, but she is precious. Her foster mom reports that she has no behavior problems whatsoever.

Glory was rescued from Wal-Mart on University Drive where she had wandered into the garden. She was so thin that you could see her bones. Being so malnourished, her hair had begun to fall out. It was a very cold January when she was found. When her foster mom rescued her, she reports that Glory was very sweet.

A trip to the vet to be checked out showed that she had pressure sores on her back legs--the vet said most likely from hunching down trying to keep warm. She was too sick for shots at first, but has since had her shots and tested negative for leukemia and HIV. She had already been fixed which was a sign she used to have a home.

Glory would do well as an only cat--she's not real crazy about other pets. She would also be ideal for an older person. She will have to go to someone very special because her foster mom feels that she has had such a rough time she deserves only the best now.

We want a loving home where she will not be declawed or allowed outside. For more information on Glory, please contact her foster mom Lisa at lmckinney@madison.k12.al.us or (work) 852-7073. Currently Glory is at NOT at PetSmart Jones Valley.
