Lodge Manufacturing in South Pittsburg, Tennessee is the only company in the United States that is dedicated to solely manufacturing and producing cast iron cookware. For over 100 years, Lodge Manufacturing has produced the most extensive line of quality cast iron on the market. Lodge Mfg. is a family owned and family operated business. Joseph Lodge started the company in the early 1800's. A lot of the cast iron cookware that is made in this Tennessee plant is still in service today, having been handed down several generations in the same family. Here's a look at the Lodge Mfg. plant, which is open for tours during the South Pittsburg's annual National Cornbread Festival.
