1122 E Clinton Avenue

1122 Clinton Avenue, the 1920 Putman - Brooks House: this Bungalow features horizontal wood siding, a wide, full porch of ornamental brick with tall, slender tapered support columns, and a centered dormer. It was the home of local merchant F. C. Brooks, who operated F. C. Brooks and Sons Dry Goods. There also was a milk barn, and a cow and chickens strolled the property. The current owners found an old sign from the store under the floor and have it prominently displayed now in the home.
