Constructed by Mr. Archie Owens in the early 1980's is a model display of a log house that is unique to this area and to the homesteads in the south. After many years of being located in the outdoors, the display had become a little weathered.

The Madison County Nature Trail located in southeast Huntsville atop Green Mountain was built in 1975. Through the years several volunteers have contributed their time and talents to improve the area for the many visitors to enjoy.
