Yo Yo Ma Demostrates Cello

Frances Plays on "Petunia"

Yo-Yo Ma loves introducing children to music. During one of his classes for younger children, one little girl asked him what his cello's name was and he replied that it didn't have a name. He invited her to name it for him and she chose "Petunia" for it. Ever since the 1733 Montagnana cello he brought to Huntsville has been called "Petunia"

Here Yo-Yo shows Frances the correct bow position on "Petunia."
