Backstage With Yo-Yo Ma

"Paul Vest, a cello student from Samford University, got a 10 minute lesson on the Dvorak concerto, the same work Yo-Yo Ma played with the HSO later that evening. This lesson took place in the parking lot, and no cellos were present, just lots of pointers about ffingering positions and bowing techniques...energetically demonstrated in mid-air," says Ron Roberts, one of Ma's escorts during his stay in Huntsville.
