Backstage With Yo-Yo Ma

Robert continutes: "She mentioned that her mother was a violinist and that Frances herself had always wanted to play the cello. At that, Yo-Yo led her to a chair, took his prized cello out of it's case, and showed her how to draw the bow across the strings. I happened to have a camera with me and that's when I snapped the photos. We were all astonished, but shouldn't have been because he continued to do wonderful, meaningful things for total strangers all day long!"
