West Huntsville is as much a state of mind as it is an actual place. Flying Monkey Art Center, is a bohemian and funky place to while away the night. Interspersed along the old growth, tree-lined streets you will find the remnants of old cotton mill row houses.
Affordable housing centrally located to retail, entertainment (Flying Monkey, VBC, Theatres) and dining. This neighborhood is changing fast. Evidence of gentrification is everywhere. Michelle McMullen and the West Huntsville Civic Association has worked tirelessly to promote and protect the uniqueness that is West Huntsville. If you are new to the city and want housing either rental or purchase, this could well be your place.
