The Lumpkin House is a pleasant surprise in Albertville, Alabama. I'd only driven through Albertville on my way to Boaz and would never have found this little treasure without the invitation of a local author, Gay Martin, to meet for lunch. Delicious food in a beautiful setting is my ultimate idea of a perfect lunch. The prices at The Lumpkin House are unbelieveable: a variety of salads for under $6, desserts for $2.50 and hot plate specials for $6.25.
