IMP Fundraiser: "A Taste of the Classics"

If you attend local theatre shows, you are probably aware that Independent Musical Productions (IMP) is the most respected theatre company in Huntsville. They are known to tackle such complex and epic shows as The Civil War and Ragtime with great success and accomplishment. Most of the credit goes to IMP's founder and director, Vivienne Atkins, who has a talent for casting and directing exceptional shows.

IMP was founded in 1993 with debut production of Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street . IMP's shows are presented on the 1,000 seat auditorium of Lee Lyric Theatre in Lee High School.

As with any production, there is more work and more money involved than anyone would like to spend. The volunteers step up to build and paint sets, act, dance and sing, and anything else they can do. One thing they need is money and so IMP recently pooled their talents, added a nice dinner and wine, offered gift baskets and furs for a silent auction and created a fun and enjoyable fundraiser for their theatre company.

The event was held at Luciano's and featured cabaret style entertainment from a variety of talented actors and singers. The audience experienced a delightful evening and helped raise money for this exceptional theatre group.
