The black-tie premiere of “When I Find the Ocean” was held the last night of the festival. The film stars Lee Majors, Diane Ladd, Bernie Casey, Amy Redford, Richard Tyson, Graham Greene, Natalie Canerday, Lily Matland Holly and festival founder George Lindsey. The film also features a number of Alabama talents including Jennifer Capps pictured above and two dear friends of mine JC Hester and Sara Biddle. JC plays Deputy McGhee and Sara plays Nurse Denise. This production is the feature film debut of director, writer, producer and UNA alumnus Tonya S. Holly, owner of
Cypress Moon Studios.
The evenings events were beyond elegant and I’m sure Shoals residents will be talking about it for months. Those who missed the event and wish to see the film will be pleased to know that additional screenings will be shown March 10 thru March 12 at the Historic Shoals Theatre, Corner of N.
