Those who aren’t able to attend the all of the week’s festivities will want to bookmark a few very special events. On January 4th at 10 am the Official Sam Phillips Cancellation Stamp will be dedicated at the Florence Post Office. Later that day you will be able to hear Scotty Moore and Donnie Dortch reminisce as Patsy Anderson, former Graceland Fan Relations Manager hosts Conversations on Sam.
On the evening of the 4th, Sam Phillips A&E Biography will be shown at the Marriott Shoals Hotel.
The climax of the week long celebration takes place with a concert the evening of January 7th. The headliner is none other than Jerry Lee Lewis! Lewis is the only living member of the Million Dollar Quartet (Presley, Cash, Perkins, & Lewis). Don’t miss the opportunity to hear him perform at this historical occasion. Tickets are $50.00 for the evenings performances and available from Big River Broadcasting.
