  • If you're planning on flying any time soon, be sure to check out the Huntsville Hot Ticket site to find the best fares for flights and hotels. When you enter your customized travel dates flying to or from Huntsville International, you are automatically entered to win one of 3 pairs of tickets valid anywhere US Airways flies in the U.S.
  • Congratulations to FOX-54 . They were declared the #1 rated television station in Prime Time in the Huntsville-Decatur-Florence television market during February Sweeps. BTW, did you know you can watch those great FOX shows online just like you can the ABC shows?
  • Scale Back Alabama just weighed in on their 8-week weightloss program. In the end, 2,100 teams participated in the final weigh in, losing a grand total of 78,000 pounds or about 9,800 pounds per week. Maybe the next time they make a list of the "fat states," we'll be further down the list!
  • Alabama native Steve Kennedy broke the BassMaster Elite Series' four-day record recently at Clear Lake in California winning the Golden State Shootout at 122 pounds, 14 ounces.
  • The Council on International Educational Exchange (CIEE), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to preparing individuals for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world, is looking to expand their program for the 07/08 school year and needs more host families for their USA High School Program. For more info, contact Jim Powers at 256-653-1066.
  • Over $5,000 in prize money and trophies will be awarded at this year's Official Alabama State Fiddling Championship at the 2007 Panoply on April 28th. Competition is open to fiddlers nationwide. For more info, call (256) 519-2787, ext. 205.
  • Don't miss Bob Jones High School's production of "Oklahoma!" April 19-21. Call (256) 772-2547 for more information. (8) Butler Theatre Co. is presenting "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" April 13-14.
