Tips for Week of April 6, 2006
- Annabella at Cedar Glen is hosting their first Bridal Fair on April 23rd from 2-4 p.m. with select vendors. David's Bridal will present a fashion show from 3:30-4:00 p.m. Free admission. For more info, call 852-5808.
- The Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center just announced a new secure and free website: through AlaSafe.gov , family members and caregivers of individuals with forms of dementia can provide information to authorized Alabama law enforcement officials to assist in identifying their loved ones in the event they wander or become lost.
- If it's Thursday, you might want to BYOB (bring your own banana!) to Bruster's Ice Cream, (the best ice cream around in my opinion) on Cecil Ashburn Drive and get a banana split for half-price. They also offer a "sweet rewards" card, free waffle cone on your birthday, free baby cones for those 40" (no, they don't count crawling on your knees!), and free cones for your dog.
- Bob Jones High School's Culinary Arts Team placed first in state competition for the second year in a row. They will compete in Nationals later this year.
- On April 5th, one of my favorite radio stations, Kool 92/94, changed their name and their number. They are now 100.3 FM - The River for songs you love to sing along with.
