Tips for Week of April 12, 2007
- The Huntsville-Madison County Hospitality Association will be hosting a Job Fair for part-time and full-time positions on April 21st from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center. Representatives from area restaurants, hotels, and attractions, will conduct interviews and take applications for upcoming positions. If your company would like to participate in the fair, call Vickie Thrower at 430-1778.
- The Huntsville Botanical Garden is offering a $5 discount on memberships during April and their Spring Festival.
- If you like tea parties as much as I do, then you'll want to attend the Sunday, April 22nd tea from 1-3 pm at Clay House Museum . Author Nancy Rohr, speaking about her book Incidents of the War , is the guest speaker. Cost is $15. Call 256-325-1018 for reservations.
- Dr. James Robinson , author of The Secrets of Judas and The Gospel of Jesus will present a workshop entitled "The Good News That Jesus Proclaimed" on April 21 from 9:30 am-2:30 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church . Registration form available online or call the church at 883-2300 ext. 212. Dr. Robinson will be speaking at the church on Sunday, April 22.
- All of us pet owners know that nothing can be more devastating than losing your pet. Here's two websites I found where you can register your dog or cat before they are lost or you can go to these sites to! see if someone found your pet. Fido Finder lists dogs by zip code and breed and Tabby Tracker helps you find your cat.
- A two-hour Photography Class will be held on April 14th at 10:00 am, with follow up instruction at the Earth Day event in the new section of Hayes Nature Preserve April 21st, starting at 2:30 pm. Participants go in the field with instructor to get additional hands-on techniques. For more information, call Robert Schuffert at (256) 881-1354.
