- Crisis Services of North AL offering a great volunteer opportunity for individuals to help operate our Crisis Hotline. Volunteers are asked to attend training sessions starting June 5. Please call Jacob Branum at 716-4052 for more details.
- Many Alabama women are not aware that they qualify for free family planning insurance coverage. Plan first is a special type of insurance coverage designed to cover family planning services. For more information and for the Plan first providers in our area, call the Plan first toll-free hotline at 1-888-737-2083 or the Madison County Health Dept .
- Inc. magazine is expanding its acclaimed list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States to include 5,000 dynamic businesses. The application for your business to be considered takes only a few minutes, and there are no fees to apply or qualify as this is an editorial award. The deadline for applications is May 15, 2007.
- Tate Farms isn't just pumpkins any more! They are open for parties, corporate events, anniversaries, reunions, etc. For more information, call (256) 828-8288.
- Ty Herndon will perform May 12 at a benefit concert for the Boys and Girls Clubs of North Alabama at Athens State University. Tickets are available through Railroad Bazaar, Prestons Western Wear in Athens, and www.TicketWeb.com . All tickets are general admission and $20 advance or $25 at the gate.
- Celebrate the opening (to be announced) of Mason's Pub , Huntsville's newest downtown bar and dining establishment located on the 3rd floor above Crossroads Music Hall on Clinton Avenue. Proceeds will benefit both the Ability Foundation and Angels Among Us charity organizations.
