Tips for Week of July 20, 2006

  • Shoppers: don your running shoes: Beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Friday August 4, 2006, and ending at twelve midnight on Sunday August 6, 2006, Alabama will hold its first annual sales tax holiday giving shoppers the opportunity to purchase certainschool supplies, computers, and clothing free of state sales or use tax.
  • CASA Community Volunteers are busy picking fresh produce for the elderly and homebound. There will be area youth groups at the Garden on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 harvesting veggies. If you'd like to help, please call Kelly at the CASA office at 533-7775 or 468-6947.
  • Congratulations to Ann Bray of The Masters who has been awarded Hairstylist Of The Year for North America (long hair), the most prestigious award given to a hairdresser. Another first place finish for Huntsville!
