Tips for Week of October 27, 2005
- Jerry Williamson of Bishops Flowers is doing something unusual and very unique: he preserves bridal bouquets and sympathy flowers and then arranges them in a hand-built shadowbox to create an everlasting memory box. For more info, call (256) 679-6227.
- (1) f you don't have your Amy Grant tickets yet, call the Huntsville Symphony Office at (256) 539-4818 and mention About.com to receive a 20% discount on balcony (Section F) seats. Regular price is $34; with the discount, they are $27.20. Don't say I never did anything for you!
- Are you a fan of "Lost"? If so, tune in to The Tony Danza Show each day during the week of Nov. 14, for a clue for the Lost Hawaiian Sweepstakes.
- I just found out about this new company: Military Support Services Inc , started by a military spouse for military spouses seeking quality employment.
- Villa Fiore has closed and a new restaurant opened last Saturday called Casa Mexicana. Since I love Mexican food, I'll be checking this one out personally.
- Speaking of restaurants--I think I've been eating out too much lately. I was at the Whitesburg/Lily Flagg post office mailing a package recently. The parcel post clerk there is always so good, fast and courteous (probably the best employee that the PO has), when he gave me my credit card slip to sign, I asked him where was the place for the tip!
- Congratulations to Steve Murray of Huntsville, who won the grill from Taste of Huntsville event.
- e_expectations@yahoo.com Bella's Bling specializes in elegant, L.A. designed beaded "bling" purses, perfect for daytime as well as evening. For information, call 417-5987.
- You can help ! two Hunt sville M.O.M.s (Moms On a Mission) working with Perkinston, MS. and Bay St. Louis/Waveland, MS. to bring supplies for Thanksgiving. I'll be posting their needs on the About Huntsville site soon.
