Tips for Week of November 10, 2005

  • On Monday, Nov. 14, Logan's Roadhouse on Balmoral Drive will feature Huntsville Havoc Celebrity Waiter Night from 5-9 pm. All cash/check tips will benefit United Cerebral Palsy. Eat out and help a charity! For more info, call 256-859-4900.
  • Chef's Table has finally closed their doors at their old location and should be in the new location on Cecil Ashburn Drive by November 15th.
  • If you have a lot of Christmas cards to send this holiday season, you might be interested to know that Sam's Club sells rolls of 100 stamps for $36.74. However, postage goes up 2 cents in January, so you might keep that in mind before buying 100!
  • Sam's Club also fixes flat tires for free for members, regardless of where you bought your tires.
  • The Honeycomb is a monthly newsletter written by 7 year old Michiko Gibson for 7-to-12 year olds. Subscriptions are $10.00 for 12 issues sent via email or snail mail. For more info and a free sample, email her mother, Miiko at miiko@hiwaay.net .
  • If you hate to leave your cat or dog home alone for long periods of time, you might want to check out DogCatRadio.com, a Los Angeles radio station designed to keep pets engaged and amused while owners are at work all day.
  • The Coffee Tree Books & Brew on Bailey Cove Road has Open Mic Night every Saturday, starting at 6 pm. For more info, call 256-880-6121.
