Tips for Week of November 24, 2005
- Carrabba's Italian Grill in Parkway Place Mall will open for lunch at 11:00 on Friday to feed the hungry "After Thanksgiving" shoppers. I also found out that Carrabba's will open for lunch for special groups and meetings for 30 to 230. For more information, call 288-1333...oh, and pray they put you on hold--you'll get a free Italian lesson while you wait!
- If you want to be an early bird on Friday and not miss the big sales, have Target give you a personal wake-up call. This year they have a new tuck-in service. Too bad they don't do this 365 days a year!
- I heard this from the "circus" people: the Animal Walk from the train to the VBC is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec 6th at 1:30 pm. However, it is subject to change due to numerous reasons--so be sure and check before you go.
- Want to make some quick cash for the holidays? Want to try out ebay, but don't know how? Now you drop your "stuff" off at CyberDrop Inc. at 218 Rhett Avenue in Huntsville and they do all the work for you. For more info, Lori@CyberDropInc.com email Lori.
- This sounds like fun: On Dec. 4th from 2-4 in the Beck Room at the Huntsville Museum of Art, the Community Ballet Association will host a "Nutcracker Sweets and Treats Party" for children to meet characters from the ballet, get autographs and goodies and a picture with a character in costume. Call 539 0961 for information about reservations.
- Speaking of parties, HMA's Art Krewe is throwing Wine & Cheese Holiday Twist with no admission charge and free food and wine on Wednesday, Dec. 14 from 6-8 pm. Reservations are due by Dec. 11. For more info, call Georgina Chapman at 535-4350 ext. 219.
- One more party not to miss: Chef Green's on Fountain in downtown Huntsville is planning a Victorian Christmas Wine Dinneron Tuesday, Dec. 6th. Cost per person is $80 plus tax. For reservations, call 534-1962.
