HOPE Place

HOPE Place is a safe, confidential shelter for adult and child victims of domestic violence. HOPE Place is a program of Crisis Services of North Alabama. Recently, I was allowed a tour of HOPE Place in Huntsville after signing a confidentiality form pledging not to disclose the location.

HOPE Place is safe haven for women & children who are in danger or are being threatened with violence. If you need their services, you can call the HELPline at 716-1000. Some things to keep in mind:

• Domestic violence is against the law.
• You do not deserve abusive treatment.
• You can insist that your children grow up in a home free from violence.
• You are not responsible for your partner's behavior.
• You can change yourself, not your partner.
