From the article: Restaurant Reviews
Americans are eating more and more meals outside the home. When deciding where to go to eat, nothing is more valuable than "word of mouth" or other people's opinions and experiences. I've found that most people who submit restaurant reviews either love or hate the restaurant--there's no "middle-of-the-road." Be sure to include the name of the restaurant. Consider carefully what you want to say--it will stay up for a long time! Share Your Opinion
The person in charge was so rude!!!
- I ate for the first time at this restaurant, with my daughter, her grandmother, son and future mother-in-law. First there were just two of us and since I had never been there before I did not know there were rules about not being seated until your entire party was there and neither did the waitress. So we were seated at a table for 4 and they added a chair with a booster for my grandson who is two. Our drinks had arrived as we were waiting for the others to show up when whoever was running the place came over to our table and told us that it was there policy to not seat anyone until the entire party was there and that it was a new waitress and she was not aware of the rules, she was so rude to us; we did not know if we should have jumped up with out drinks and wait on the rest of our table or sit there but we decieded they had seated us so we would stay put. The food was o.k., not the best I have ever had; but I will never be back and be talked to like I was a child. Really RUDE!!!

Cheddars
- Cheddars on University Even though the restaurant is fairly new and very clean, the service is absolutely horrible. The food is completely sub-par, the managers all seem to be on power trips, and the entire dining experience is not worth the money or time. The last time I was in this establishment and it WIll be the Last Time....the service was a little better, but the lack of enthusiasm when the food was finally served was concerning. The manager, a chubby, younger female, stopped @ the table. She obviously saw our distaste. She came across as condescending and seemed to blame it all on our server. Cheddars, DO NOT play the blame game. The service is a shot in the dark with each visit. I've had wonderful servers and equally awful ones. The food is sub-par, not worth the time to wait or the money that's spent.

Humphries
- Since being bought, Humphries food is crap and the atmosphere even worse! They've lost the down home pub feel and seem to cater to the quater in the dixie cup crowed. After 8:00PM beer comes in a plastic cup only, but water in glass? Figure that one out? Gone are the signature dishes like the twice fried chicken and fish and chips. The grilled fish was microwaved, or cooked on some new type grille I've never seen cause not one mark was on it. Fish and Chips is frozen and reheated, not fresh dipped. Eat there if you like, but it is only a quarter of it's former self.

Shogun
- I ate at Shogun on University Drive tonight for Valentines day. While I was eating, I noticed an African American couple come in. They came to the dining room I was in (the non-hibachi part with the sushi bar) and sat down. A few seconds after being situated, my (and their) waitress came to their table and asked them to move to a booth in the corner. Minutes later a White couple came in and sat themselves at the booth the first couple was asked to move from. They were not asked to move, and were instead greeted with hospitality. I can't be certain, but that seems like racism to me.

India Cafe
- India cafe was nice. I wish a little bigger that will probably come with time. The food was great although I have to get used to the spices which is expected since it was my first time eating Indian food. The only drawback was they were out of milk which would have really helped with the spices especially since we had children too. It was way cool that the chicken nuggets for the kids were in dinosaur shapes. everyone enjoyed that. and they had the good crinkle cut fries for kids too. I loved my food which was a spinach and cottage cheese mixture with rice. I definitely recommend it as delicious. The first few bites were mild and then the heatwave of the spices kicked in and i had to slow down. All in all I liked the food, the service and the atmosphere and would go there again. Thanks for the great gift certificate!

Cafe Berlin-Parents beware
- I was shocked at the rude and obnoxious behavior by the wait staff at Café Berlin on a recent visit. On arrival we were begrudgingly given a table by an imperious bearded Berliner waiter. Although high chairs were in clear view we were forced to get up and request a chair after an extended wait which we were reluctantly given. We were then treated to glacially slow service despite the sparse crowd in the restaurant. I recommend Café Berlin post a sign saying “Children Not Welcome” rather than subject their customers to this type of behavior.

Mezza Luna Restaurant
- Jason Schauer, Chef-Owner of Mezza Luna has long been a client of our farm's products. (Doe Run Farm) We know Jason to be a very creative and talented Chef, and he has very high standards when it come to choosing what he serves his guests at Mezza Luna. We have eaten there ourselves on several occasions, and have never been disappointed. We think you will find the service, ambiance, and the food will make for an enjoyable evening out.

Victoria's Cafe Review
- My friends and I meet every Christmas for breakfast and exchange presents at Victoria's Cafe. We always spend alot of time eating, catching up on the past year and opening our gifts with no problems from the staff, even when it gets close to lunch. Our waitress even remembered us from previous years and told us no problem with taking our time. We always tip her more even though there were many empty tables. We were just starting to open our gifts when another waitress came to our table and told us we were going to have to leave, now! When we questioned her she said she needed the table for lunch. The place was empty and there were about 10 waiting to be seated for lunch. We said we have always stayed and opened our gifts and she said no we had to leave right then. She was very rude and when she escorted us out in front of everyone she told the other quests we were rude! When I told my story on facebook I received many stories like mine. Guess we will have to find a new place.

The Apollo Cafe
- Our 1st visit included an out of order toilet in both the men's and women's restrooms. In the women's restroom, the out of order toilet was leaking into the "in order" toilet area. The floors in both restrooms were filthy. Not very appetizing and isn't this a health hazard??? The meat loaf was dry, mac & cheese had very little cheese, and green beans were OK. The menu is very similar to the former Around Your Table that is out of business. The decor is an unappetizing red & black with 2 muted TVs and piped in loud music. This quality of food, at any price, was a rip-off! Service was good, but food was not good and toilets are a health hazard!

We love Long Horn's
- Someone in our family eats at the Long Horn's on University Drive at least once or twice a week and we love it. The people are extraordinarily service oriented, and the food is fantastic. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a great steak and we all think their hamburgers are to die for!! Our favorite family place!!

LOVE Beauregard's
- I was a little skeptical when I heard Beauregard's was coming out with a new menu, but me and a couple of buddies went for lunch today. Well, let me tell ya, if you haven't been to Beauregard's lately, you've got to go check out the new menu. Not many places outside the fast food joints offer a 1/2 lb burger, fries and drink for just 6.99! The wings are still awesome! The best wings in town hands down!!! I had the wing special at their North Parkway location today. The service has vastly improved too we noticed. We'll definitely go back!

Mellow Mushroom
- The Mellow Mushroom has good food, but quite pricey. Over $22 for each large (we ordered 3) plus some other smaller dishes. We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and she is a vegetarian. She ordered a chicken Ceasar salad pizza without the chicken. It was made wrong but the waiter said we would not have to pay for it. It came out just before we left so no one got to eat it (she was able to eat some of the other pizzas). And we got charged for it. I tried to find the waiter but no luck and family was already heading out. The pizza has fresh lettuce on it, which we had to toss the next day, so I still don't know what that pizza is supposed to taste like. For the price I expected a better experience.

Very poor experience
- D&L food is average. The service and attitude of the service staff and owner is very poor. Restaurants are more than food...it is the total experience. At D&L the total experience was very poor!

Mama Annie's
- I'd just like to give a big thumbs up to Mama Annie's Cafe on Meridian St. on the right before you get to A & M. This wonderful little establishment has something for everybody. Home cooking to rival your Grandma. Try the cobbler or homemade banana pudding while your there. This is one of Huntsville's best kept secrets!

I love Meridian Street Cafe #2
- Huntsville and surrounding Jones Valley Neighbors, attention: Let’s all strive to keep a local business alive and prosperous. Meridian Street Café #2 located at 7900 Bailey Cove Road (across from Grissom High School) is a wonderful, delicious, friendly casual place to eat. The food is outstanding, consistent, flavor filled. Food of this caliber is rare these days and this small establishment hits the mark. Please stop in and give them a try, I promise you will want to go back again. The Angus burgers, Angus patty melts, and chicken patty melts are absolutely “to die for”. They have daily specials, homemade cobblers and I just have not tasted better. They are open Tues-Fri 8-2:30 and Sat-Sun 7-4:00. Please stop in and keep this neighborhood restaurant hopping with business. I have taken friends there and my husband and I love it with a capital “LOVE IT”
